Here is the completed Black Seas USS Constellation. Again the modifications include installing rigging tie-off rails at the base of each mast, quarter boat davits, cut away the plastic spars and replaced with steel rod at the proper angle for a quarter wind, extended the fighting tops, topgallant mast platforms, and finally a custom dolphin striker. And one more thing, I decided to do scratch sails.
I am without words...

DeleteVol, she came out absolutely great, and I'm glad to see you back in the saddle after your injury. I love that you even add little blocks in the rigging. Forgive me, I probably missed your description in an earlier post, but what do you make those out of?
ReplyDeleteHi James and thanks. I did the blocks on the first frigate and the brig. The are just little balls of PVA painted nutmeg when dry. I don't know why I never thought of it before. It would probable work on 1/1200 too!
DeleteTalk about museum quality! Fantastic job on the ship. I’m really liking the size of the black seas ships. They photograph really well. 😀
ReplyDeleteEverything is top notch!
Thanks Stew, I'm still drooling over those British officers of yours!
